The ICC Universe consists of institutional custodial data submitted by State Street and the ICC consulting firms, and is available around the 15th business day after the end of each quarter. By incorporating only "live" portfolio data into the universe, the ICC has avoided the many problems encountered when mutual funds, manager-supplied data, and government filings are used as proxies for institutional performance results.

This comprehensive database allows the ICC consulting firms to examine client information such as investment style, market sector, fund type, fund size and risk exposure with a degree of detail unavailable from any other source.

The ICC has the tools, analytics and flexibility necessary to help clients assess the performance and risk levels of their plan. Funds are ranked against a universe of returns, asset allocation and portfolio characteristics. Manager style comparisons provide insight to the degree to which investment managers are in compliance with their clients' investment objectives.
